The LEICHT company was awarded the design phase for the Champagne Bar’s new roof, located at the Goodwood Racecourse. The planning steps included the form-finding process, the membrane and supporting steel structure approval and design, and the membrane and cable cutting patterns.
The EGT Group’s new St. Georgen location was to have a future-oriented design, taking into consideration both energy efficiency and sustainability. The new four-story oval building consists mainly of timber and was constructed in just four short weeks.
In 2008, the German company Messe Frankfurt organized an architectural competition for planning the redesign of the northern and southern gates leading to the exhibition center. The goal was to design a guardhouse and a roof for each gate. The building owner wanted the roofs to be developed as extraordinary structures with high recognition value.
Since March 2011, a glass pedestrian bridge with a length of 98.4 ft has connected St. Michael's Hospital with the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute research center. The supporting structure consists of several oval steel rings which are twisted together. The bridge, with a section height of 15 ft and a width of 12.4 ft, was designed by Diamond and Schmitt Architects Inc. from Toronto.
